Are you a flush and forgetter? Or not really… but you aren’t part of the solution either?
Listen the cosmic dharma in this conversation with Dr. Sasha Kramer. She is so elegantly charming and utterly captivating RE: the potential of night soil. Dr. Sasha has devoted her professional experience to helping Haitians have somewhere to poop in privacy. If you’re not in-the-know, you aren’t aware that for 1 in 3 humans this is a daily non-reality.
The issue of having no where to poop is tied into every other issue facing humans and the planet today. Listen to catch up.
I rap with Dr. Sasha Kramer about when Your Poop is a Service to the Planet
  • The global issues of global feces, ecosystem health, and nutrient flow
  • How to be part of the solution
  • What works in non-profit efforts in countries without infrastructure
  • Why social business model works better than volunteerism
What you’ll get out of tuning in:
  • How your curiosity is part of the solution
  • How to make your very own arborloo…. (great for suburban + rural families)
  • Why humans need to own their potties to keep them clean
Dr. Sasha Kramer is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Sustainable Organic Integrated Livelihoods (SOIL), an organization that promotes dignity, health and sustainable livelihoods through the transformation of wastes into resources. Sasha is an ecologist and human rights advocate who has been living and working in Haiti since 2004. She received her Ph.D. in Ecology from Stanford University in 2006 and co-founded SOIL that same year. This month SOIL is celebrating 10 years of transforming wastes into resources in Haiti through ecological sanitation - the process by which human waste is converted into fertile SOIL. Sasha is also a National Geographic Emerging Explorer, Architect of the Future with the Waldzell Institute, Ashoka Fellow and a Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur of the Year.
